Sugarbush Draft Horse Registry
Dedicated to Preserving one of the last American Draft Horse breeds
Whether you own a Sugarbush Draft Horse, or would simply like to show your appreciation for this amazing breed of American horse, becoming a member is a great way to become involved. Members receive voting privilages for the Board of Directors, and will have a say in shaping the future of the Sugarbush Draft Horse Registry.
Membership fees are currently under review, but we can announce at this time that we will be offering at least 3 ways to become involved:
We hope to have membership rates finalized shortly, with more information as it becomes available.
Sugarbush Showtime, bred by Everett Smith. This lovely mare is now located in Kentucky, where she will continue to show that not all drafts are created equal. With her lovely coloration, and her wonderful temperment, she is exactly what the breed was created for.

What does Membership do for you?

Membership in a breed registry gives you certain benefits. With the retirement of Everett Smith, the SDHR is now operated by a Board of Directors. This means that any and all rule changes will be decided by vote. Membership in the SDHR allows you to have a say in those choices.
Whether it's electing the BOD members, or offering your opinion on a proposed rule change, membership really is a way to be a part of shaping this great breed. Members also get other benefits, such as reduced registration and transfer fees, and notification in the event of special events in your area.
The Sugarbush Draft Horse Registry appreciated all inquiries to help us revive this breed to greatness. We welcome you to contact us with any questions.
At this time, what the Sugarbush Draft Horses need most are people to help spread the word. No breed can thrive without owners to promote them and fans to cheer us on.
And of course, donations are always appreciated:
Membership fees will go to promoting the Sugarbush Draft Horse breed, and helping to save this amazing American Made Draft Horse.
